Evan Online: Version 6.0

As much as I loved the previous look for the site, I’ve been wanting to use these amazing photos from October’s Marie Claire since I first saw them, and finally I have made something that I like! I hope you guys like it too – please let me know if you spot any errors.

I am in the process of updating all the content at the site, and plan on getting a video archive back online as soon as possible. Are there any videos in particular you guys would like to see? Let me know in the comments!

Evan Rachel Wood for ““Les Misérables” Role?

Taylor Swift, Lea Michele, Scarlett Johansson and Evan Rachel Wood are all in the running for the highly coveted role of Eponine in Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper’s big-screen version of “Les Misérables,” sources tell us. A source close to the film confirmed that the four actors have all auditioned for the role. Another said that Michele “knocked it out of the park” when the “Glee” star — who played Young Cosette in the Broadway show — recently performed for the “King’s Speech” director. But it will be a tough choice because each star has her own magic ingredient for the musical based on Victor Hugo’s novel. “Scarlett brings acting ability, and she can really sing,” said the source. “Evan Rachel Wood brings her indie cred.” And casting Swift would mark a major move over to Hollywood films for the pop star. The Working Title and Universal movie is already stocked with stars, including Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Eddie Redmayne and Geoffrey Rush.

Gallery Updates

A little HQ gallery update tonight – big thanks to the lovely Jess for a large number of these photos! I have either replaced MQ photos with HQ versions or added new additional photos to the following albums – this TIFF portrait session for The Ides of March, the Ides TIFF press conference, Ides BFI press conference and the LACMA’s Art + Film Gala. I have also added two new albums to the gallery from 2011 – from backstage at Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark on July 02, and the Abu Dhabi Film Festival on October 15 – phew!

Also, I have been tweaking the site’s Twitter account, so you can now find (and follow!) us @EvanRWoodOnline for all the latest site news and updates as they happen. Enjoy!

Evan to attend Labyrinth’s “Celebrity Charades 2011″

Jesse L. Martin, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Yul Vázquez and Evan Rachel Wood have joined the Labyrinth Theater Company’s “Celebrity Charades 2011: Down and Derby” Nov. 14 benefit.

The annual benefit, which supports the company’s season programming, will take place at the Highline Ballroom. Previous themes have included a pep rally, a knockout in a boxing ring and a Battle of Good and Evil.

Newly added to the special event are Martin, Rubin-Vega, Vázquez and Wood, as well as Josh Charles, Tom Colicchio, Padma Lakshmi, Michelle Trachtenberg and David Zayas.

They join Bob Balaban, Bobby Cannavale, Philip Seymour Hoffman, John Ortiz, Chris Rock, Cynthia Rowley and Kristen Wiig, who were previously announced to participate.

According to the Labyrinth, “Four celebrity teams jockey their way to the Winner’s Circle in a fearsome and hilarious speed charades competition.”

Labyrinth has also announced that it will present the 2011 Dave Hoghe Award to former co-artistic directors Hoffman and John Ortiz in recognition of their leadership and dedication to the company.

For tickets, phone (212) 513-1080 or e-mail charades@labtheater.org. Visit labtheater.org. The Highline Ballroom is located at 431 West 16th Street.
